Bönigen Tourismus – non-profit association since 1892
The founding meeting of the Bönigen non-profit association was held on June 1892 at the Café de la Gare (the present-day Hotel Seiler au Lac) for the stated purpose of: “... preserving and promoting the interests of our community, specifically elevating its status to that of spa”.

The well-being of our guests remains our prime concern, just as it was 100 years ago. Our principal duties include:
- Running the Tourist Information Office
- Helping to shape and co-ordinate the tourist offer
- Organising the guest programme
- Ticketing for various facilities such as ship cruises, mountain railways, etc.

Bönigen Tourismus is financed mainly through members’ fees, contributions by service providers, and resort tax revenue.
