An easy walk alongside the River Lombach or Aare or a hike on the forested Kleine Rugen or…, Interlaken offers a host of walking and hiking paths - in winter too!

Around Beatenberg

~ 37km total length

 

The place to go for some of the best views in the Bernese Oberland. Many hiking paths in and around Beatenberg are also open in winter. But don’t forget your sledge - you’ll find several super runs ready and waiting!

Hiking in and around Habkern is also a very popular winter pastime. From easy strolls complete with sledge, to tougher tours for experienced mountain hikers. The mountain restaurants are open at weekends so you can take things easy too. Explore the Habkern Valley in its winter-white splendour...

Around Wilderswil / Saxeten

~ 22km total length

 

Wilderswil, at the entrance to the two Lütschinen Valleys, offers winter walkers unlimited choice, including trails alongside the River Lütschine to Lake Brienz and a culture trail through the valley to the village of Zweilütschinen. Hike to your heart’s content!

Jungfrau Region

 ~ 130km total length

 

The Jungfrau Region is a winter-walking paradise par excellence. Some 130km of winter-walking trails with sledging options await you.  And you’ll find another 80km in the Grindelwald area, with 50km more around the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Wengen and Mürren.
