best season

Breathtaking views of the most spectacular panorama: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

The hike first leads leisurely to Spielbodenalp. This is where the actual "mountain hiking" begins, as the route leads steeply up to the Bryndli. However, this can only be reached by a short detour, as it is not directly on the way to the Rotstockhütte. After a short rest at the hut, the route continues towards Roter Herd. In this section of the route you will cover most of the altitude difference, namely about 600 metres. It is not far from the Roter Herd and you reach the long awaited Schilthorn - Piz Gloria. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view. The descent is quite steep. It is of course also possible to avoid the steep descent by taking the Schilthorn cable car. If you choose the more strenuous variant, you hike in the direction of Birg and finally through the stony and very steep Kanonenrohr to Mürren.
