The circular route between Grimmialp and Zwischenflüh offers various starting points and lets you create your own route as you wish. The Diemtigtal trails lead you along mountain streams, through snowy forests, and across untouched meadows and allow you to glide weightlessly and rhythmically through the snow.
The Tiermatti trail runs over flat, technically easy terrain. The trail runs partly on the huge debris cone of the Balmigraben, where the farms of Thiermatten (now Tiermatti) are located, and partly in the area of a silted-up, former lake, the Seebode. It is the sunniest of the three Diemtigtal trails.

Directions
The circular route starts at the Geissboden schoolhouse (Schwenden) and leads via the Seeboden in varied loops to Tiermatti. After a short descent, you reach the turning point at Staldenmaad before ascending again towards Grimmialp on a new trail. Back in Geissboden, a short extension takes you to Buechi before you finally return to the starting point. Follow the groomed trail and the turquoise signage.

Directions & Parking facilities
Motorway A6 Bern towards Zweisimmen, turn left 1 km after the Simmenfluh tunnel in the direction of Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road valley-inward for 18 km towards Grimmialp, Schwenden. The trail start is located opposite the old schoolhouse.
Paid parking is available at the old Schwenden schoolhouse.
By train to Oey-Diemtigen. Then by post bus to the stop “Schwenden i.D., Fildrichbrücke.”
