The Festival of Festivals presents autumn festivals from all of Switzerland’s provinces and linguistic regions. Enjoy cultural and culinary diversity in the landscaped areas and buildings of the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum. Here you can familiarise yourself with regional festivals, rural customs, agricultural production, refined craftsmanship and much more.

In one day, you can enjoy an "Älpler-Chilbi" (alpine herders’ fair) from Obwalden, marvel at the Valais "Combat des Reines" (cow fighting) a little later, discover what’s behind a Trottenfest from the Blauburgunderland or face up to current issues surrounding meat consumption and vegetarian nutrition at a "Berner Metzgete". Romanesque Switzerland is brought to life with a "Festa da la Racolta" from Val Müstair, while the Italian-speaking region is represented by a Ticino "Festa d’Autunno" and a "Castagnata" from the southern valleys of the Grisons. Meanwhile the French-speaking regions treat you to "La Bénichon" from Fribourg, the "Fête des Moissons" from Vaud and the "Saint-Martin" from Jura.
