At the Museum of Clocks and Mechanical Musical Instruments (MUMM for short), you can enjoy a variety of sounds made by mechanical musical instruments. The museum also gives an insight into 300 years of Bernese clock making.

In the historic rooms of the Wichterheer-Gut in Oberhofen on Lake Thun, you will encounter fascinating exhibition pieces, ranging from clocks and timepieces to mechanical musical instruments,. Most of the timepieces on display come from Swiss workshops and factories and were made in a variety of different time periods. The exhibition focuses on clock making in the canton of Bern. The Osthaus is also home to the Stiftung Kurt Matter collection of mechanical musical instruments. You can visit this exhibition by prior arrangement. Take a journey through the last five centuries of creative craftsmanship in the company of an expert guide, who will bring these antique instruments to life as you pass through the collection.
