Schlossweid Village Museum

Schlossweid Village Museum in Ringgenberg

  • Ringgenberg

Experience history and tradition

The village museum opened in an old farmhouse or Stöckli in 1981 and is located on the Schlossweid in Ringgenberg. The estate also includes a kiln house with wood fired oven, which produces the most delicious bread, and a granary.

The museum is maintained by the Association for Town & Village Ringgenberg-Goldswil.
The village museum’s extensive collections includes historical records, documents and old maps of Ringgenberg-Goldswil. Every summer, the village museum puts on an interesting exhibition on history, culture or the work of local artists. During the “village evenings” in July and August (or on request), you can make your own bread and bake it in the traditional wood fired oven. From April to November, on the first Saturday of the month, the Association for Town & Village Ringgenberg-Goldswil holds a sale featuring this delicious bread and other delicacies.
