On the «Spiez Vineyard Sensory Adventure Trail», a dozen information boards tell you all you need to know about the wine-growing year in Spiez. Those who prefer not to read all the texts can use a smartphone to scan the QR codes on the boards; 12 short films then portray a year in the life of the Spiez vineyard.
There are also six interactive stations where guests can identify different aromas, for example. According to their own preferences, visitors can walk the full adventure trail or just part of it; for example, they can follow Hans-Barben-Weg along the edge of the forest or take a detour up to the Spiezberg viewpoint. The Katzenstein is a good place for a rest: the bench next to this huge boulder commands wonderful views of Lake Thun.
From Spiez station (628 metres), either walk (around 15 minutes) or take the Spiez mini train (in summer) down the lakeside road to the Regez car park. The adventure trail starts just behind the wine-growing association building. Make your own way back to the station through the vineyard and via the castle and/or the bay.
Simple route of signposted paths. Difficulty: T1.

The easy route means there is time for other activities nearby. For example, visitors can take the lakeside path to Faulensee or head for Spiez Castle or the museum of viticulture; in the summer, the lido by Lake Thun draws the crowds
