Schlossweid Village Museum

Schlossweid Village Museum in Ringgenberg

  • Ringgenberg

Experience history and tradition

The village museum, a Stöckli, opened in 1981, is located in Ringgenberg on the "Schlossweid" property. An oven house, where the finest wood-fired breads are baked, and a spycher are also part of the property. The Verein für Dorf & Heimat Ringgenberg-Goldswil takes care of the maintenance of this museum.

The rich collection of the village museum includes historical records, documents and old postcards of Ringgenberg-Goldswil. Every summer, the village museum hosts an interesting exhibition on history, culture or the work of local artists. On the village evenings in August and on request, you can shape your own bread and bake it in the traditional wood-fired oven. In addition, the Ringgenberg-Goldswil Village and Heritage Association organises a sale of this fine wood-fired bread and other delicacies on the first Saturday of every month from April to November.
