Hone your skills on the climbing wall at Wiriehorn sports centre any day of the week. Choose from 30 routes of varying difficulty. You can bring your own climbing gear, or rent equipment at the sports centre (subject to advance notification).

You know the feeling: you need some exercise to burn off your energy, but it's pouring with rain outside. The climbing wall at the 185-square-metre Wiriehorn sports centre is the answer. Choose a route of a difficulty level to suit your ability: every level from 3a to 7b is available, with the majority graded between 5a and 6b+. Conquer the 7.5-metre height and tackle overhanging sections as you climb to the ceiling. With no support on the wall, reaching the top is your own responsibility.

Try your hand at bouldering

Ready for a genuinely thrilling experience? Then climb the boulder wall with no ropes or climbing harness – just your own muscle power. Naturally, the boulder wall is no more than jumping height.
