The visitor center "Simmentaler Käsewelt" is located at the foot of the Niesen in Diemtigtal Nature Park. Here, prime regional ingredients are processed into aromatic cheese in a labour of love. A visitors’ tour offers fascinating insights into milk processing and cheese production at the modern manufacturing centre and maturation cellar. Enjoy the absorbing sight of professionals at work through large windows in the cheese dairy. Information boards and screens give visitors all the facts they need on the Swiss speciality. In the cheese manufacturing centre, you will see modern robots manipulating the cheese – something you don’t see every day! At the end of the tour, call in at the bistro to treat your taste buds to a fresh slice of Simmentaler cheese.

The visitor center "Simmentaler Käsewelt" welcomes groups of 20 to 100 participants. Those joining the tour gain exclusive insights into the history of the Käsewelt as well as the production process.
