The signposted snowhoe route leaves Aeschiried at a gentle incline and a wide arc, crossing snow-covered alpine meadows to Aeschiallmi. At the ski lift and the famous ski lodge, snowshoers will meet other winter sports enthusiasts. Here you will already have a wonderful view of the Kandertal valley. To gain altitude at a comfortable pace in this slightly steeper terrain, follow the snowy summer road up to the Bireberg alp. At the alpine cabin, leave the path and make the ascent to the arête over open countryside. The route now follows the ridge at a steady incline, through Greberegg up to the foot of the Morgenberghorn. At Greberegg, you can treat yourself to a breather and a splendid view over the Kandertal valley as before, as well as Lakes Thun and Brienz. A final steep ascent takes you to the Brunni alp and the impressive Brunnihütte cabin (unserviced). At the foot of the Morgenberghorn, you can enjoy a long rest and a spectacular panorama. The journey back to Aeschiried follows the same route.
