Hiking Trail

From the Grütschalp cable car station, a broad gravel path leads in a steady slope to the edge of the forest and continues through a magnificent mountain forest. The gate to the alp pastures also opens up spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountain chain on the opposite side of the valley. To the east, at the foot of the Männlichen chain, you can see the long-drawn-out settlement area of Wengen. The wide alpine trail leads to a shaded valley through which the Staubbach stream flows. A few hundred metres down, it flows over the Fluh as a mighty waterfall. The trail continues through another shaded forest section before passing Winteregg. From here, the route leads mainly parallel to the railway line to Mürren.
