This circular hike high above Kandersteg can be relied upon to impress. On a beautiful summer's day in the Bernese Oberland, you can't go wrong with this choice. The immediate views of the glaciated Blüemlisalp Group are breathtaking; the views down across Lake Oeschinen are fascinating. Such visual delights will need to be earned of course, but the climbs are manageable. Surefootedness is a must on this circular walk. The highest vantage point is the Heuberg, from where you will walk down to Lake Oeschinen and pass the Oberbärgli and Underbärgli mountain restaurants en route. In summer you can reward yourself with a refreshing dip, or by stopping off at one of the two mountain restaurants.
