The popular lakeside path takes you from Spiez along Lake Thun to Faulensee. Stroll leisurely along the shore and enjoy the panoramic view of the lake and mountains.

The panoramic lakeside path from Spiez to Faulensee makes hearts beat faster. Whether a Sunday walk with loved ones, undisturbed togetherness on a first date, or an action-packed afternoon program with the kids, the lakeside path has the right thing for you.

The little ones can let off steam right at the beginning in Spiez at the great children's playground. At the end in Faulensee, the "Pirate's Cove" playground offers another highlight. Prefer a more relaxed pace? Various sculptures and over 50 benches invite you to linger and enjoy. Each bench is unique and marked with a brass plaque engraved with a life motto. Here you can wonderfully pause, chat, or have a picnic. The magnificent view of the lake and mountains is guaranteed. About halfway along the path is the 100-year-old shaded bathhouse, which is freely accessible. How about a jump into the cool water? You also have the opportunity here to sharpen your senses on the barefoot adventure path.

The lakeside path begins directly at the Spiez outdoor and lakeside swimming pool and ends in Faulensee.

Directions & Parking facilities

There are no parking spaces available directly at the starting point of the walking path. Since there are generally few parking options in the bay of Spiez, it is recommended to arrive by public transport.
From Spiez station, it takes about 10–15 minutes to walk to the starting point of the lakeside path at the Spiez outdoor and lakeside swimming pool.
