After refreshments at the Gsässweid inn in Springenboden, the five-hour hike up to the Niesen summit begins. The magnificent distant view is your constant companion. On the way, the Hoschüpfe viewing platform offers breathtaking views of mountain peaks, Lake Thun and the wide valleys of the Simmental and Diemtigtal valleys. After 1243 metres in altitude, there it is: the Niesen summit. Enjoy your time up here before the Niesen cable car takes you back down to the valley.
