The Hasliberg is also a top-class sun terrace in winter. On a varied hike on well-prepared paths, the gray of the Swiss Midlands is quickly forgotten. The route is continuously signposted.

The hike begins at Lischen, the middle station of the gondola to Käserstatt. The broad path, on which sleds are encountered repeatedly, initially gently ascends northwestward, with a view of Lake Brienz. Soon it leads into a small forest where it is noticeably cooler. Shortly after, you step back into the sun, which will be a faithful companion from now on. It then steadily climbs to Balisalp. From here, it is just a few steps to the alpine restaurant Balis Hasliberg. The path continues uphill towards Käserstatt, and soon you must cross a ski lift route. Good timing and a quick step are required here to avoid a collision. Now follows probably the steepest section, then Käserstatt with its magnificent view is reached. Now you must stay alert to not miss the winter hiking trail to Mägisalp among the ski slopes. It runs southeastward and passes a covered rest area, a good opportunity to take in the panorama. At Mägisalp, you take the winter hiking path to Bidmi. It is also used by sledders and occasionally by skiers. Due to the gentle slope, these travel slowly, so no increased caution is necessary. On the right, another covered rest area appears. The closer you get to Bidmi, the more slushy the snow is on many days – it is obvious that the Hasliberg is a sun paradise. Below Bidmi, the winter hiking trail often has icy spots. It is therefore advisable to finish the hike in Bidmi and take the gondola back to Hasliberg Reuti for the last leg.
