This varied circular hike starts and ends at the Tourist Info Bönigen and climbs to Sytiberg with much to see along the way.

The route leads from the tourist office and through the upper village of Bönigen to Oberallmi, where visitors will find an attractive barbecue area on the left with stunning views. Then the path bears right, climbing to the Sytiberg with beautiful views along the way. Next, follow the path towards Wilderswil. Passing the open-air barbecue point, head down to Aenderbergbrügg. Cross the attractive, covered wooden bridge and continue along the Lütschine river on the way back to Bönigen.

  •  Bring a picnic and something to grill at the Oberallmi barbecue point.

  • The path is suitable for all-terrain pushchairs.


From Bern/Thun: Leave the A8 motorway at the Interlaken Ost/Bönigen exit and follow signs to Bönigen.

From Brienz: Leave the A8 motorway at the Bönigen exit, then follow Oberlandstrasse.

Paid parking is available behind the Hotel Seiler au Lac.

Public transit

Take the train to Interlaken Ost, then bus 103 to Bönigen See. The bus runs every 30 minutes.
