Just above Wengernalp railway station, a wide forest road branches off right to two large alp huts on Wengernalp. The trail then heads south over wide flower-filled meadows to Wixi. After circumventing a striking rocky outcrop, it leads through a small forest of fragrant Swiss stone pine to Biglenalp where at the the foot of the Jungfrau, it continues northwards over open pastures to Kleine Scheidegg.

Directions
Via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken. Or from the south, via the Grimsel Pass (summer only) or the Simplon Pass and the Lötschberg car-transport train to Interlaken. Then follow the signs to Lauterbrunnen.
Parkhaus Lauterbrunnen direkt am Bahnhof oder der ungedeckte Parkplatz bei der Kirche.

From Interlaken Ost railway station to Lauterbrunnen via the Bernese Oberland Railway. Change to the Wengernalp Railway towards Kleine Scheidegg. The hike begins at Wengernalp station. Return journey with the Wengernalp Railway from Kleine Scheidegg.
