A short ascent through the forest leads from the station to the Brienz Wildlife Park. After feeding the animals (feed is for sale), a walk leads to the Gippi viewpoint. From Gippi, you enjoy the breathtaking view over Lake Brienz before you make the descent.

Directions
The start and end of the hike are at Brienz train station. The entire path is a well-developed hiking trail. On the way to the wildlife park, there are some steps, but these can be bypassed via the road.
Equipment
Weather-appropriate equipment. Good shoes are recommended for the ascent through the forest when it's wet.
Directions & Parking facilities
Exit motorway (A8) Brienz, from Interlaken or Brünig Pass / Meiringen. Follow the main road towards Interlaken.
From Interlaken, also accessible along the main road by Lake Brienz.
Parking spaces available at Brienz train station, at the ship landing stage, or parking deck Brienz-Rothorn-Bahn.
By train to Brienz train station, and in the summer months also by boat from Interlaken to Brienz.

Safety guidelines
The path (ascent through the forest) is not suitable for people with mobility impairments or prams. Alternatives exist via a road (valley road towards Lindenhof) to the wildlife park.
