At the foot of the majestic "Wildstubel", surrounded by the astounding mountain world, this circular route takes you over the flat plateau of Adelboden's Engstligenalp.
From the centre of Adelboden, you follow the Engstlige River upstream on foot or by bus to reach "Unter dem Birg". From there, winter walkers can easily reach the 2000m high Engstligenalp by cable-car. The enjoyable and mostly flat winter path takes you past mountain huts buried in fallen snow to magnificent viewpoints. Only the sound of the snow crunching under your feet breaks the absolute silence. After your exertions on the mountain, it's time to reward yourself with a glass of punch or a special liqueur coffee in one of Engstligenalp's two mountain taverns.
