The new Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola cableway, which opened in winter 2019/20, takes you to the Holenstein middle station. From here, the well-maintained winter hiking trail runs up to Männlichen, where the mountain inn beckons with a sunny terrace, great views of the surrounding 4,000 m peaks and delicious food. The trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg is not always open, so make sure to find out the status ahead of time. From the Kleine Scheidegg, the winter hiking trail at the foot of the Eiger leads to Brandegg. On the Kleine Scheidegg, Alpiglen or Brandegg you can take the train back to Grindelwald.
