Brasserie 17, Interlaken

This was recommended to us by our hotel, It was absolutely heaving when we got there but they managed to squeeze us in. The service, the beer and the food were all really good.

Either the first drink or the last drink venue for me as I was just around the corner at the Stella Hotel Reliable offerings at fair prices for Switzerland.

Decent drinks selection and a good choice of beers which suited my needs on my Interlaken holiday. Always fairly busy which says a lot.

Unless you have a reservation for this “fully booked” pub don’t waste your time wandering down a random side street to find this place. Lots of floor space for more tables and at least 6 seats at the bar for a couple to eat.

Good food and the menu has English translation which is a plus if you don’t read and understand German. It’s expensive to the USA standards but not around here it was actually a good price. I had the grilled chicken breast with fries and a salad and my husband a crispy chicken burger. My food was very good and his food was good but he had better.

Visited based on their Trip Adviser rating.... Not disappointed. Good food, quick friendly service and a great selection of beers. We both had the ribs. Really tasty. I would have liked more BBQ sauce on them but that's just my preference, not a complaint. The beer of the week was an IPA, and one of the best I've had for a long time. Great friendly pub/bar restaurant. Excellent helpful and quick service. Very extensive drinks list and multiple menu options, including a daily Swiss specials list, a burger menu, snacks menu etc. After a lot of Swiss food we both opted for burgers, freshly cooked with fries and coleslaw/salad and were not disappointed by the large portions.

Very good food and drinks. Cheaper than most of Switzerland restaurants. There are many options of food and beers. Excellent location. Very close to the Zentrum of Interlaken.

We went here for dinner with our 2 boys (11 and 14). The place is pub style, good lighting and pleasant atmosphere. There is an extensive drinks menu with a good selection of local and international beers plus all the usual longdrinks and cocktails for a good price. The food was delicious- freshly cooked and hot. We had the super schnipo which was massive, chicken burger, beef burger and magnificent mix (chicken wings and spare ribs). We were very impressed and will definitely be coming back.

Great beer selection. Cider great too. Nice outdoor space and attentive staff. Highly recommend!

Been here a number of times over the years. The food and service always consistenty great. The outdoor dining pleasant and with a view of the mountains. There is music on Thurs. nights and a hostel ( Happy Inn Lodge upstairs) provides a mixed crowd of locals and tourists.Conveniently located to West train station. Relax and enjoy, your on holiday.

Went here with my daughter based on reviews of the area. Really enjoyed the service and our meal. Simple, good pub food a nice local beer! Great choice for a casual dinner.

Outstanding meal. Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and first rate service. I wonder, however, if Swiss restaurants will ever decide to serve potatoes other than as rosti or pomme frites? I have never seen scalloped potatoes, a baked potato, etc. on a Swiss menu, and that would be a nice change. The salads here were excellent, very fresh and large.

We went in here looking for casual and simple. We had a great start with a friendly waiter. We had salads, burgers and ribs. When my son's hamburger came with all the fixings of sauces etc, we told one of the staff members that those items weren't listed on the menu. She went and got another staff member. This woman might have been a manager. She didn't say. She came to our table with a passive aggressive attitude to inquire what the issue was. We were not in a bad mood initially as we just wanted to express that the hamburger was not as represented on the menu. Her response was that all hamburgers come with mayonnaise, ketchup and tomatoes in Switzerland and it was our problem. With an angry passive aggressive tone, she said "the fries have salt on them. Is this ok with you?" At that point, I acknowledged her unacceptable attitude and asked to have the hamburger replaced with no sauces. She softened a bit and we believe my son was delivered a fresh burger. However, our original friendly waiter didn't check on us for the rest of the meal. In fact, aside from delivering a new burger and replacing our drinks at our request, no one checked on us. We thanked them as we walked out and they were cordial back. I would give them another chance as the whole negative experience could have been avoided if the 1 staff had had a better attitude and if our waiter had continued to serve us.

Been to Interlaken a few times before and I don't know how long this place has been here but this was our first time in here and I am so glad we stopped by. Excellent pub with very nice and friendly staff, great selection of drinks and a superb seating area outside. This became our go to spot in Interlaken, perfect.

Have eaten here a number of times over the years, the food and service has always great and consistent. Live entertainment on Thurs. nites and outside seating available. It will continue to be one of my stops for the above reasons.

Recently stopped here for dinner while in Interlaken. Pretty broad menu with good selection. Food was very good, prices affordable. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Place was full on a quiet Tuesday night- always a good sign. Would definitely recommend.

We popped in for lunch during a trip to Interlaken. We chose the tagesmenu - Soup, followed by cold roast pork with fries and salad. Soup very nice, but we were blown away by the main course - it was huge and beautifully presented. Great service too, and all for CHF14.50 each. Highly recommended.
