Il Buongustaio, Interlaken

Il Buongustaio pizza is how I remember pizza in Venice a few years back. It was excellent and much better than pizza in Milano at the Navigli canels just a week prior. Hint: it is a very small place and fills up very fast. Go for an early dinner if you want to be seated immediately.

Had takeaway twice while staying in Interlaken. Both times, the pizza was excellent. Would certainly recommend the food here, and if I'm ever back in Interlaken, will definitely be returning for more!

I stopped in here to get pizza to take away to my hotel room. The place was very busy. The staff were businesslike & efficient, working hard to fill the orders. I placed my order and after an appropriate waiting time, it was ready to go, hot out of the oven. The pizza was well made and tasty, reasonably priced, this is a good place when you are hungry.

Great pizza and fantastic service! We sat outside the back for this visit, which is a courtyard setup for approx 10 tables. We visited on a Saturday night. Be sure to arrive early if you want to get a table, as it got much busier later on, due to a combination of people ordering takeaways and wanting to eat inside. The pizza was delicious, and they had a large selection of options. The staff were rushed off their feet but showed their passion in making sure everyone was well attended to.

This spot is just a short walk from the main shopping street and is well worth a visit! It is very small inside but does have a larger back seating area. The pizza was absolutely excellent! The chili oil was so good when drizzled on the pizza. We also had salads which were very fresh. Service was friendly and attentive. If we'd had another night in Interlaken, we would have gone back for more as the past dishes also looked enticing.

Fast friendly service great pizza Caprese wine. Place was 175 feet from Bellevue Hotel. A perfect dinner during our time in Interlaken. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Pizza and Pasta. But above all, service was exceptional and Chilli Oil is one of the best in Europe. Please call for booking as they have limited tables

The pizza and tiramisu was so good! The server, Tiago, was so personable and we sat down right away after talking to him. It's a small joint, and so worth it!!

Nice hand made pizza. They have a good amount of seating at the back of the restaurant. One does not realize this when looking at the front of the restaurant. Friendly staff

We visited Il Buongustaio after a long walk on a cold December afternoon with hungry children in tow, the stakes were high, and it didn’t fail to hit the spot. Il Buongustaio is a cute little pizzeria, on a side street off the main road through Interlaken. Unassuming from both inside and outside, this hidden gem serves the perfect pizza. The menu is extensive for a small outlet and the prices were very reasonable, especially for such an authentic pizza cooked by a an Italian pizzaiolo. The tomato and mozzarella were super fresh and the base light and perfectly cooked. The pizza was gobbled up before we even had time to click any photos. As a half Italian family, it was a lovely surprise to find somewhere so good in Interlaken. The chefs and pizzaoilo’s were very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The pizza here is incredible. The patio out back is very nice. The staff is very accommodating. It was just across the street from our hotel. The smells draw you in! Loved it here

Such an amazing meal! True authentic taste and very fresh. This can not be beat in Switzerland. (Even some parts of Italy). The price is budget friendly. My son and I came from the US and were pleasantly pleased with dinner here. We will order again on this trip and we will keep this place tucked away in our memory bank for our next visit.

Very good pizza, lasagna, pasta and great service. The guys working here are authentic Italian and hard working. We would strongly recommend.

We ate at this restaurant twice while in Interlaken. The pizza was amazing and the prices were reasonable for Switzerland. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I went to this pizzeria on our last evening in the city, as we wanted to have a quick bite without breaking our piggy. The place is close to the main street, has a small indoor seating area, and then some tables in an outdoor terrace. We had two pizzas, which were quickly served, were of decent size, tasted good and we also used a delicious spicy oil that I guess they prepare. Staff was really nice and friendly, prices honest and overall we had a very pleasant time. It isn't the most refined place, but if you wanna have a good pizza and be served with a smile this is a perfect restaurant to go to.
