Restaurant Taj Mahal, Interlaken

Great food, the quality was fab and quite large portions too, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I'm quite fussy with curry but they basically custom made me one!

Very good mixed Dal main course with a good roti. Just what I needed and spiced just right for my taste. Worth trying if you like the cuisine.

Average food. Poor attitude of the servers. Worst service. There are way better Indian food and truly Indian hospitality options available in Interlaken, than Taj Mahal. Avoid this place.

Great food. The samosas were tasty and a good deal. My chicken curry was delicious. All white meat (yea) and my husbands curry was also tasty. Nice, flavorful crispy papadams. Great service.

I stayed in Interlaken 4 nights I had india food 3 times there But my experience this is the best restaurant in every thing. Good service clean and very tasty I had butter chicken Dal . And one chicken tikka all are the best I recommend every one who visit Interlaken must try once’s

It was family and friend visit food was average, and portion was very tiny, no value for money I will not recommend this place to go and Weaste your money

Have been trying to replicate East African (South Asian) community food, and Francophone Switzerland has been a challenge. Interlaken has a wide range of cuisine, but Taj Mahal had many vegetarian dishes.

Me and mum came for lunch whilst on holiday and had a wonderful meal. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Also the portions were brilliant! We highly recommend and if we were staying for longer we would 100% be back. A must visit for Indian cuisine fans.

Had a fabulous meal at Taj Mahal, Interlaken last week. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. And the portions were extremely generous! Lovely, friendly and prompt service, a great seat by the window (it was raining hard outside, so it felt like we were in a warm cocoon) and just a lovely ambience, despite there only being one other table in use (difficult times and a quiet time of year, admittedly). Would highly recommend this restaurant and we hope very much to revisit next time we are in Interlaken.

Very tasty food I recommend butter chicken. It was really delicious!!! The staff were very friendly.

We found this lovely little restaurant when we were having a stroll around Interlaken. There are great vegetarian options and the food we had was really tasty. It’s unfortunate that they charge for tap water but this seems to be the done thing in a lot of restaurants in Switzerland.

Visited with family for dinner. Busy and well known restaurant in centre of Interlaken. Parking at near by paid bays. Good service and taste. Recommended for family

We were a group of seven family members on holiday trip to Europe. Had heard about this Indian restaurant so searched for it to have lunch, after an exciting but tiring visit to Jungfrau on 29 Jul 18. First of all there was delay in serving of meals. Then the tandoori rotis which were served were badly burnt and had to be returned as it was not possible to eat them. Anyway we thought that it happens once in a while. However the worst part came, when on asking the waiter about the delay, he replied in a very rude manner and in a loud voice which was never expected. Somehow we finished our lunch as we didn't want to make a scene and spoil our holiday. Even when we were leaving the place he mad a sarcastic comment. I will advise the management to take care of this particular individual so as he may not repeat this with other guests. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

My wife and myself, after doing shopping nearby, walked into this restaurant. We had roti with bhendi fry masala and the taste was really nice. Rotis were made perfect and I had a glass of local beer, it was refreshing. Though the price for everything in Switzerland is on the higherside, we found this place is quite reasonable.Service was fast and friendly.

This Indian restaurant is in Interlaken West. We had tasted best Indian food in Taj Mahal - the Chicken Curry is yummy - so is the Dal Tadka. But best was the Naan - so crispy & really excellent. Gagan Deep Singh - the main person behind this success story of Interlaken - is from Patiala & an excellent host. For Indian food KM Taj Mahal is highly recommended. In fact we had visited one more Indischen Restaurant called “Shalimar” but that is no match for Taj Mahal

We were looking for taj palace and got confused. Food was just ok. Service was slightly better. Avoidable as there are other good places.

An OK Indian in Interlaken. Meat was dry, and it was expensive for what it was. Staff friendly though and otherwise was a decent dinner, just a bit overpriced (even for Interlaken, c. 70 CHF for two) for a straightforward curry.
