Cycling
Spiez and its surroundings are best explored by e-bike over bridges and on side roads.

This tour leads from Spiez railway station towards Thun as far as the first roundabout, where you turn left and follow the road to the petrol station just before the motorway slip road.  Turn right here and proceed in the direction of Lattigen, Gesigen. The route takes you alongside Spiez reservoir to Gesigen shooting range, and on through a motorway underpass. Continue along the unsurfaced road alongside the motorway. Soon you will cross the River Kander on the first spectacular bridge (Hanibrücke). Continue along the main road towards Wimmis. Cross the River Simme over a beautiful wooden bridge at Reutigen. The route back to Spiez winds its way through open country and alongside the Kander towards Mülenen. Crossing the Kander again, ride on towards Spiez through quiet residential areas in Spiezwiler and on side roads to the Niesen Bridge, and from here back to Spiez railway station.
