On the high trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg, this is one of the most popular hikes in the Jungfrau region in summer. The route is also hikeable in winter - on the prepared winter hiking trail.
Take the mountain railway up, enjoy the beautiful view on a well-maintained winter hiking trail and then take the mountain railway back down again in comfort: The high-level trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg promises this entertaining pleasure. Right at the beginning you could stop for a bite to eat, the Berghaus Männlichen is next to the Männlichen cable car mountain station. Then follow the pink signs to Kleine Scheidegg. The winter hiking trail does not follow the familiar summer hiking trail. It leads downhill a little at first, then meanders along the foot of Tschuggen, before the final half-hour or so climb from Arvengarten to Kleine Scheidegg raises the pulse rate a little. On Kleine Scheidegg, a wide range of restaurants awaits you, so you can end the day on one of the sun terraces.
If you wish, you can extend the hike as far as you like, for example: From the top station of the Männlichen cable car, take the short "Royal Walk" themed trail up to the Männlichen summit or, at your destination on Kleine Scheidegg, add the winter hiking trail to the Eigergletscher station.

From the Männlichen mountain station (2229 m) follow the marked winter hiking trail via Gummi (2004 m) and Bustligen (1873 m) to Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m).

Arrival: From Interlaken Ost with Berner Oberland Bahn (BOB) to Grindelwald Terminal, continue with Männlichenbahn to Männlichen mountain station. Alternatively from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, continue with Wengernalpbahn to Wengen and from there by cable car to Männlichen.
Return journey: From Kleine Scheidegg with Wengernalpbahn to Grindelwald.
