Easy, scenic circular route in the village of Schwenden in the rear part of the Diemtigtal. The route has only moderate altitude differences. The route is marked with pink-colored signposts.

The Diemtigtal is conveniently located but is often literally overlooked by ski enthusiasts heading through the Simmental, especially in winter. Unjustly so – this quiet side valley, which joins the Simmental at Oey, has many charms to offer. Winter hikers can also enjoy it here, for example on the Grimmialp-Schwenden circular route.
The circular route begins at the ski lift valley station on the Grimmialp and initially goes briefly upstream. At Blauseeli, the Senggibach is crossed, and past the cross-country ski trail, the path goes downstream to Senggi. Cozy wooden houses and snow-covered meadows line the way. The route follows the forest edge for a short distance, then descends to Buechi and finally passes through the village of Schwenden on a small road to the main street. This is then followed with a slight ascent over a distance of around 100 m, but shortly afterwards the route turns left onto a groomed footpath uphill to the chapel and from there onwards to the Hotel Kurhaus Grimmialp. The return via Egg to the starting point Grimmialp is just a few steps away.
