The flower trail in Grindelwald is known for its varied floral splendor. In the lower part of the themed path, from Waldspitz, the rather rare Turk's cap lilies can be admired in large numbers. From the First mountain station to the Bachalpsee lakes, you follow the well-trodden hiking path. Thanks to detailed signage, flowers and herbs such as gentian, silver thistle, blue vervain, pasqueflower, cotton grass, and mountain anemone can already be discovered here. The Bachalpsee lakes, along with the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, and Finsteraarhorn, are a popular photo motif. Around the lakes, numerous marmots have settled. After a lovely descent, you reach Waldspitz via Bachläger. From here to Bort, you enter dense coniferous forest. The Turk's cap feels at home here and blooms abundantly in July along the grassy path edges. Again, the nationally protected Turk's cap should be admired and photographed but not picked. Those who have had enough of hiking can rent a Trottibike at the Bort middle station and ride down to Grindelwald or take the gondola lift down.
