The four-km Schwander Life Path is lined by thirteen carved wooden figures with reflective poems and quotes on life. The figures have been created in cooperation with the Brienz Woodcarving School.

The circular trail affords impressive views of Lake Brienz. The Life Path leads from Schwanden Gemeindehaus (municipal offices) to the Schonegg vantage point and barbecue spot and on to Schwanderbedli, a swimming pool in woodland and ideal for families. Benches along the trail offer the chance to take a break. The hiking trail is marked by 16 signposts, each with a carved bird.
The trail can be taken with an all-terrain children's buggy (some uneven uphill sections).
