Eden Beach, Gunten

We visited this little bar during our cycle from Interlaken to Thun. Having visited one place to find it was small and too busy, we found Eden Beach and stopped here instead, and I’m glad the other place was full so we came here. We only had beers, but they were very cold, the staff very friendly, and the setting was even better.

It used to be a perfect place to enjoy the great view of Niesen and Lake of Thun. Staff and menu was perfect. But since the management changed there is the feeling of a missing chef. Service is not as good organized as it could be. Today we were asked before having the menu kist on the table and then we had to wait 20 minutes to order. But there are more chairs on the outside, thats a plus. I hope that the new management can bring the top service back as it used to be. It’s a great location so we have to come back.

We had a pleasant dinner tonight! The food was great and the service lovely. We Will come back for sure!!

What a brilliant location to round off a perfect day driving the surrounding lakes of Thunersee and Brienzersee. Clean, Comfortable, Location, Location, Location, with massively friendly English speaking waitress to make us very welcome. What a view. You basically get the feeling you are eating and drinking right on top of the Thunersee and that is because you basically are. Whether you are inside or outside there is a peaceful Zen atmosphere about the place which again is brill the considering you are on the main road between Thun and Interlaken. Totally recommend a Solo, Family, Friends or Romantic stop over no matter the reason(s)

We were three men on motorcycles. We stopped here because of the good Trip Advisor reviews. We parked right outside the door, had a table under a parasol, 1m from the water with a wonderful view. They were busy but the service was good. We had the Chef's Special salad. It was excellent with a mix of feta and hard cheeses, pine nuts and a lovely sauce. We didn't check but expect it was suitable for vegetarians. Would stop again if we were touring the area.

As we live close by we often come here to enjoy the lake and the views while sipping a nice coffee or a drink. We never came here for food but it always looks nice and has some veggy options (which is hard to find soemtimes in Switzerland). On sunny weekends it is super busy and you will hardly find a seat.

Food is great. Location on Lac Thun is perfect. Ambience is great. Staff are always happy and helpful. I love this place!

I normally never write reviews but I just had to write one for Eden Beach. We went earlier today, it was a cloudy day but still a gorgeous view. We had grilled chicken breast (flavorful, fresh, juicy), fish filet (crunchy, crispy, flavorful, delicate) and a beer. Prices, service and food were all exceptional. We will definitely be coming back again the next time we visit Thun.

The place with the most amazing the view. Probably because of the view, very affordable prices. I paid 50 CHF fondue. But the view of the Alps at sunset, you can pay any price!

Recommended by a friend, we walked into this bar on a Saturday afternoon thinking it was a little quiet only to find the most amazing outside bar at the back which is where everyone was! We didn't intend to eat as we'd booked dinner at our hotel but the smell of the grill was just too tempting, food is excellent, as is the service wine was lovely and the atmosphere was excellent. Best bar we visited in Thun area, view over the lake to the mountains is just fab.
