    Not a pleasant experience
Upon arrival, we found no one present at the establishment. Phone posted didn’t work. Once we were able to access the key and wrangle it into the lock which was ridiculous!! The room was very stuffy and very hot. Providing better quality fans for each side of the bed would be helpful. The key for the side door was very difficult to work to unlock and lock it. The stairs were steeps. You advertised convenient store onsite, yet everything was closed. You advertised soundproof rooms. No such luck. People above were stomping and moving furniture around until after 1:00 am! Very noisy location. Breakfast was beautifully presented by our server. She was quite attentive and served us well. Without improvements, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Disappointed by Hotel Rosengärtli – No Compassion in Time of Crisis We booked a stay at Hotel Rosengärtli (June 22–25) for our anniversary and paid extra for the “free cancellation” option, which was valid until 14 days before arrival. Unfortunately, a war broke out in Israel 9 days before our trip and all flights were canceled. We immediately contacted the hotel, explained the emergency, and kindly requested either a refund, a date change, or a credit. All were denied, despite our repeated messages and calls. The hotel showed zero understanding, no empathy, and no willingness to help – even though the situation was completely out of our control. Thankfully, another hotel in Zermatt showed true compassion and refunded us fully without hesitation. We’re very disappointed and cannot recommend Hotel Rosengärtli to anyone. – Irina & Ofir Mizrahi

Very bad food!! Very bad service. Staff threatend us in order to pay bill
Terrible staff that threatend us when complained about the bad food. Then the door was pushed to close to make us pay. And we were threatend by four arabic men in order to pay the bill. Bad place not to be recommended.

One of the most authentic BnB
The host is fabulous. Breakfast was very good which was served on your table on multilevel tray. The dinner i.e. pasta and pizza was outstanding. The room was a bit small but very clean and balcony had an awesome view. Many BnBs now a days feel commercial and hence don't feel like a bnb. But this one is a true gem and authentic bnb experience. Highly recommended

    Nice dinner
We had dinner here, pizza and schnitzel. It was a very good pizza and the schnitzel was also really good, big portions, too. The staff were really, really friendly and attentive. This wee place might not look like that much from the outside, but it serves really good food and is well worth a visit.

great little restaurant in a fine location
A first class café located at the edge of the village and only 50 metres from the railway station. Views overlooking Lake Thun. Exceptionally friendly service from the staff and a very welcoming attitude from the locals who regularly use the café .Used the café on a number of occasions on our way back to our hotel in the village

The reviews are right! It was delightful!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The atmosphere inside and outside was lovely, and reflected Vroni's excellent attention to detail. The meals were delicious and generous. We loved being close to the lake, church bells and a short drive or train ride from Interlaken and the spectacular Swiss Alps. Andy and Vroni made the trip memorable and we appreciate their time and thoughtful conversation.

A great hotel and tearoom in a great location
What a lovely place with wonderful hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Vroni and Andy and their team including Serafina made our stay feel very comfortable. It is a lovely spot overlooking Lake Thun and the mountains. Train station 2 minutes away is super. The boutique rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean and Vroni's attention to detail in looking after her guests is wonderful. Such nice treats of fruit, chocolate and cakes in the rooms. The food is lovely as well as their breakfast set out like an afternoon tea. We would definately stay there again and recommend to anyone. It is also a very nice sitting out in the pretty well kept garden.

The _best_ hosts, best breakfast, very comfy beds and a great view over the lake...
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Rosengartli while we where in the Thun and Interlaken regions. Vroni and Andy ( who run the hotel ) are simply the best hosts you could find. Vroni's attention to detail in the room is second to none. From the little cakes and treats and fresh fruit in the room to the choice of teas and good coffee, you could not ask for more. In addition the breakfast ( served in the Team Room with a great view over the lake!! ) is excellent ... and I don't use this word too often! The town of Leissigen is also great since you are a short ride by rail from both Interlaken, Thun and the Jungfrau region. The train stop is very close, less than 100m. This would be a great option to explore the area, or stop off en route to other parts of Switzerland. If you are an English speaker you are in luck. Both Vroni and Andy speak perfect English! Finally, you must try the Chremeschnitte for dessert!!! ... but save one for Jane please....
