Restaurant Stadthaus, Unterseen

We where recommended to eat here by hotel Rossili this lovely restaurant did not disappoint we came here three times for dinner. The service was great the lady who looked after us and her team where fantastic !! The food was amazing me and my wife had Cheese fondue for the first time its one of the best food i have ever tasted, the Trout dish and Racalette with Rosti where also good. The atmosphere was also great as it was always full of people having a great time. The other thing that surprised me was the Red Swiss Wine it was soo.. good i indulged in a few glasses ! I highly recommend you go you will not be disappointed !

Just finished having a good lunch at this restaurant. Staff were professional in approach. Ambiance was perfect for old town feel . Our meal , since we belong to a big group were already pre selected . But they are good choices. From potato soup , buttermilk chicken and lime sorbet. The coffee was also good. Dinner bells adorn the place as well .

Very bad experience The customer service is awful, the fondue 🫕 was awful as well and the price was just above the roof, how come 60 CHF for only Fondue!!

To start, I rarely will rate below a 2 stars, but this was not it. I was highly anticipating this restaurant because my paragliding guide, who has lived here forever, recommended it, but Interlaken surely has a few better Swiss food options and this is not one of them. If you care about the actual food, skip this place. I care about food far more than service, and this place was a huge disappointment. I ordered the beef stew, which my waitress recommended, and the meat was unbearably dry and chewy, not even the gravy could save it. Seriously, it was the worst-quality beef I can remember having at a restaurant. The Pinot Noir was excellent, but that was the only highlight. Thad a reservation for 9 and showed up early at 8:45. On the phone they had said the kitchen closed at 9:30, but when I arrived no one attended my table until 8:58, when the waitress rushed over and told me the kitchen closes at 9. Meanwhile, the table next to me placed their order at 9:15 without issue. There was no silverware on the table, and I was never checked on once after my food arrived, which was very frustrating. I had a reservation for 9 and showed up early at 8:45. On the phone they had said the kitchen closed at 9:30, but when I arrived no one attended my table until 8:58, when the waitress rushed over and told me the kitchen closes at 9. Meanwhile, the table next to me placed their order at 9:15 without issue. There was no silverware on the table, and I was never checked on once after my food arrived, which was very frustrating. The most frustrating part is that my meal for one person, including the dish and two glasses of wine, was $50 Franks. For that price, I expect far better quality. I expect better, truly. Service was very poor. Aloof attitude. They seemed easily annoyed and not engaged in offering a pleasant environment.

Such a nice atmosphere and great food. We started with the meat and cheese platter. Then my son had the rosti and I had the meatballs and fries. The rosti was amazing. The meatballs were very good and few fires were great. We had a nice bottle of wine. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed. We had a visit from the group that scares evil spirits on New Year’s Eve.

We were expecting a genuine Swiss meal and restaurant did not disappoint. The recommended wine selection was terrific as was the amazing garlic soup. I had the veal while my wife had the fish. The dinner service was fast, the ambiance was warm, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend paying this establishment a visit.

We had diner here on a sunday without a reservation. We chose the veal liver with apple and onions and a cordon blue. All the naib courses were excellent. Especially the veal liver was very good. We paid 148,90 CFR for 4 main courses and drinks.

We had dinner here twice during our four day stay in Interlaken, returning the second time as the first experience was so good. The food was delicious - we had mushroom gnocchi from the specials board, which didn’t leave room for a dessert and on the second visit we each had a Rosti followed by a shared Kaiserschmarrn. They were easily the 2 best meals we had in eight days in Switzerland. There is a pretty good choice for vegetarians. Most of all, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and kindly spoke English. It is popular with locals and you would need to book at weekends. Heartily recommended.

My wife, I and another couple had dinner and we enjoyed it. The food was tasty, well done and reasonably priced. All four of us would strongly recommend.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant and it was everything she promised and more. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to sit outside. Our drinks were served promptly and the wine was delicious. Dinner is an interesting selection of many traditional Swiss dishes and we each enjoyed our selection. Our server was very helpful and friendly. We walked inside to see the dining room, it is just as nice inside and would be cozy on a rainy or winter day.

Had a nice lunch here - fondue was great and the garlic soup was delicious. Recommended if you’re after Swiss cuisine in a nice setting
