- expsurferJuly 19, 2023 at 12:16 PMUnappealing Food and Poor ServiceThis was the worst meal of our 2-week trip in Switzerland. If you go on a night when they don't have their smoker going, your only choices are burgers and fried foods, for which you pay a premium. The burgers looked good, but that's not our taste. Neither one of us liked what we ordered and the waitress was unfriendly. When we asked if we could get some butter for the bread, the response was "You want butter!!!??!!! For bread!!!!! We don't have butter" When my husband mentioned that there was butter served with breakfast, she replied "that's for breakfast". To her credit, she did bring us some butter. We didn't realize that butter with bread isn't customary in Switzerland, but she could have been nicer about it.More
- JensPetterStrommenAugust 11, 2022 at 7:19 AMService and food was good, not excellentWe stopped for fondue, had to try it in Switzerland, but maybe not the place to do it. Nice fondue, excellent bread to go with it, and a small portion of pickled vegetables. Didn't quite match the price.More
- George-Leo-DJuly 19, 2022 at 5:28 PMUnderwhelming foodWe were staying at the hotel so the first night tried the half board menu. The food was very underwhelming and rather Disappointing. Also being covered but open to the outside air, there was a problem with flies Having said that the serving staff were very friendly and helpful.More
- sophiebbczNovember 1, 2021 at 12:43 PMVery welcoming multilingual and qualitative restaurant!Very welcoming multilingual team (+ English and french) Great quantity with an amazing quality. Lot of choices between local (Swiss) dishes. We will definitely come back soon!More
- Dutchguy020February 6, 2021 at 5:48 AMThis is the Worst restaurant in SwitzerlandWe decided to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs from the hotel. We noticed that there were dead flies everywhere. The window pane was full with dead insects. Anyway We ordered both of us a Cordon Bleu. Within 2 min our food arrived. The Cordon Bleu was uncooked and raw. We made a complaint and the waiter removed our plates. We got new ones after 5 min. AGAIN the food was raw and not cooked. No apology from the waiter, chef or manager. We decided to leave the restaurant and went to the nearest Pizzeria. We travelled through Switzerland and we stayed in several hotels. But this restaurant is by far the worst restaurant in Switzerland. Bad management. Lousy service. Misleading advertisement. Dirty restaurant. My conclusion is. Avoid this restaurant!.More

- geojgMarch 3, 2020 at 5:59 AMSuper Gutes Essen!Restaurant Choch Topf at the Jungfrau Hotel serves up delicious food and beverages. For dinner we sampled the Alpen macaroni and fried perch. The dishes were fresh, well prepared and very tasty. The Swiss bier was also sehr gut! The wait staff were very accomadating and friendly, making our dinner experience a memorable one. As part of our stay at the Jungfrau, the incredible breakfast buffet was included. We had a choice of fresh meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, granola and juices. The homemade jams were absolutely delicious, as were the fresh baked breads and flaky croissants! Bonus...fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon as well! The restaurant is very clean and charming with mountain views. Our hostess was so friendly and attentive as well. All in all a wonderful hotel and restaurant in Wilderswil.More

- MiamMiam2xApril 21, 2019 at 7:44 AMIncorrect list if facilities- no electrical vehicle charging stationElectrical car drivers : Avoid this place ! They attract customers with an electrical vehicle charging station.... there is one that only fits ... electrical wheelchair! Check photo 😂 No apologies from hotel, but I finally got 10% discount for this rip-offMore
- PaporiRApril 6, 2019 at 7:24 AMLovely mealWe loved the dinner meal. The service was impeccable and the food very good. I especially liked the non intrusiveness of the staff attention, while being very attentive. I could go there for the food and ambience again!More
- CatherineParnabyJanuary 18, 2019 at 2:29 PMWonderful fondue!!We had a wonderful meal here - the cheese fondue was the best we had during our time in Switzerland! The Iglu’s made the experience a little different and was definitely enjoyable! Friendly service and prices comparable to others in the area.More
- okidoki2014September 6, 2018 at 9:19 PMGreat restaurantAfter getting off the train, we were looking for a nearby place to have dinner. I did a quick google search and this restaurant popped up with nice reviews. I can see why. The dinner was delicious and service was excellent!More

- 195keithsMarch 18, 2018 at 1:43 PMGood food, friendly efficient service but the setting is rather characterless. For my second evening meal in Gsteigwiller I choose the Jungfrau Hotel Restaurant. Honestly my first choice would have been to return to GH Hirschen and try their steaks. However the Jungfrau didn’t disappoint ( which was a tall order with an each way 2km walk up the hill at -10 C) As promised there were several gluten free options on the menu. I look local rose veal in a rich sauce which was excellent. Service was efficient and polite but with just one person serving 6 covers there was not much time to be friendly. My only disappointment was the decor : modern, bright, clean, hotel breakfast room style. I’m sure this is a sign of a very pleasant clean Swiss hotel but it didn’t enhance the dinning experience, and encouraged me to eat (well) and head home rather than relaxing with another excellent local cider.More
- O9589LYbillsNovember 9, 2017 at 8:38 PMNot impressed with the servicesNice hotel, great location with beautiful view of distance mountain, trains coming and going, green pastures and cows... The manager was very warm and courteous, but some of the staff were not very welcoming. First time in my life to see a posting on restroom wall like this, wish it was only on my restroom, the front-desk girl said, it is on the wall of other guests room too. We stayed one night there.More
- NJBSydney_AustraliaOctober 7, 2017 at 7:02 PMGood food, great serviceAte here both nights in Wilderswil - really good food, well prepared, and the service was very good, completely unobtrusive, Good place for a night out in the overall area.More
- GordonB1443June 1, 2017 at 7:53 PMone night stop-overlovely breakfast in antique surroundings, beautiful fresco painings on the walls around the dining room - has not changed since my first school visit in 1965 - original Swiss charm.More
- atheas2015March 28, 2017 at 4:28 AMClassyThe restaurant is neat and classy. The waiters were attentive. The guys was actually standing, pacing, walking around, looking and waiting for customers to ask him something. I ordered the swiss sausage and changed the side to french fries. It was good but even better if it was served warm. Or maybe the weather was too cold the food turned cold immediately. I had a glass of white wine which was okay as well. My friend had the swiss pork snitchel that comes with fries as well. Cant say how it tasted for her but she did not complain.More
- 290jackyrJanuary 17, 2017 at 1:15 PMExcellent food and serviceThe restaurant does not have a huge menu but all meals we had are well cooked, delicious and always excellent service. They had a special menu for Christmas and New Year in addition to their seasonal menu. All ingredients are locally sourced.More
