    Nice Pizza evening
Nice Pizza, but also a menu with a lot of other Italian choices. Great service. The waiters are very professional and sympathetic. Welcoming atmosphere.

Great food in eerie surroundings :)
My family of three, staying at Wilderswil, was seeking a nice dining place but it was past 8 p.m. already. One factor everyone must understand is that Wilderswil is quite serene but somewhat secluded too - a striking contrast to the happening party scene only a few miles away, at Interlaken. We decided to walk and wanted a place to eat nearby. Right outside Wilderswil station is a well-lit place called Christina, which seemed quite elegant and inviting. However, the reviews (however dated) of the place were not great, so we decided to drag our feet a kilometre further to Luna Piccante. And what an adventure it was!! Other than the occasional car/bike zipping past, there was hardly any sign of human activity along the dimly lit sidewalk on a dark, coldish night. The cold weather was somewhat manageable (challenging, nonetheless) but we were hungry - and keen to get to our Google Maps directed destination as soon as possible. If I remember correctly (we went in Sep and I am writing in Dec), I could also hear the rustling sound of water from what could be a stream/waterfall beyond the railing across the far side of the road. So, nature's BGM added a dash of intrigue to an already eerie experience, as we continued to trudge nervously forward. Finally, our 'land, ahoy!' moment arrived once we sighted the lights of Luna Piccante at a distance, right in the middle of.....errr....nowhere. If you enjoy the kick of walking along a stretch of dark, deserted road, I would highly recommend making this journey on foot from Wilderswil station to Luna Piccante at night (not sure it would be a wise move in winter, though)! Once we were inside the restaurant, the warmth of the place presented welcome relief from the cold out in the open. We picked a table inside but noticed that the open seating section still had a few patrons who were just finishing up. After they left, the lights of the open seating section were turned off. So, if open seating sections are your thing, you may want to reach the place earlier in the evening (not sure how it works in the afternoon - do they shut the open seating section first, if at all?). Anyway, we were happy to be cocooned inside. Turning to the dishes - the tomato soup (pomodoro) had a superb thick texture and the taste was great. I don't recognize the other dishes, which my brother and mother ordered (pics attached), but they found those dishes to be excellent as well. On the suggestion of our Croat server, I had a glass of sparkling wine, which was quite decent. I ordered my favourite Italian dish, Canneloni Fiorentina - and it was way more outstanding than its appearance. I also added olive oil and balsemic vinegar - this combination never fails to enhance the flavour of Italian dishes. I can't comment much about the speed of service, as only a limited number of tables were occupied when we reached the restaurant, so we didn't face an issue on that front. Overall, Luna Piccante is a top fine dining place in Wilderswil, particularly if you are looking for an establishment that gets its Italian fare spot on target.

    Disappointed
Ate lunch here - ordered a pizza and a salad - while both were very good, service was very slow. Server gave everyone else a small dessert (without being asked) - something we were never given. Surprised with supposedly being the top rated restaurant in town!

    Will recommend
Luna Piccante is a hidden gem located in Wilderswil, just 6 minutes from Interlaken. The restaurant offers ample free parking, making it super convenient for visitors. Their menu is extensive, catering to a variety of dietary needs, including vegan and gluten-free options. One of the highlights is their traditional wood-fired oven, which makes their pizzas absolutely delicious. Plus, all their pizzas and pasta dishes are available gluten-free! They also serve homemade desserts and pasta, which are a must-try. The restaurant has a spacious indoor dining area and a lovely outdoor terrace with stunning mountain views. They also provide takeaway services for those on the go. Families will appreciate the children’s play area, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal with kids. Overall, Luna Piccante is a fantastic dining experience for locals and travelers alike! Highly recommended.

    Ok Meal (3.5 stars)
Nothing wrong as such, would like to actually give it 3.5 stars but it wasn’t 4 stars. Pizza was ok but have had much better, service was good. My wife had the cannelloni which was ok. Perfectly acceptable restaurant for a quick meal.

    Good food
The staff was friendly, quick service and delicious food. We had to wait for our bill; this is European way….we Americans are used to quick turnover. Overall, excellent.

    Poor
Service wasn’t great, had to ask for menus, didn’t ask if we wanted deserts, didn’t lift empty glasses etc and were pretty much ignored. Food average. Cocktails awful. Couldn’t wait to leave. Overall not a great experience, definitely wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Great place for a family meal
We loved this restaurant so much we ate here two nights in a row. It has a great selection of local Swiss entrees, pizza, pasta and steak. The staff is very friendly, and we sat outside with a great view of the nearby mountains and town. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the menu provided something for everyone.

    Rude waiter
Pizza was alright, but the service made everything horrible. Our waiter clearly hated us for some reason from the minute we walked in. It took 45 minutes for us to get water and another 15 minutes later to finally order food. Would not recommend or make sure your waiter is not the woman who hates tourists.
