Scenic circular route to Gamchi

The circular hike starts from Griesalp down to the Gamchibach stream and then up to Golderli. Past the mountain guesthouse and shortly after a solitary chapel, the route now leads valleywards towards Steineberg and Gamchi. From Alp Bürgli it continues on a mountain hiking path through a small gorge above the Gamchibach to the beautifully located Alp Gamchi. Straight ahead would lead further to the Gspaltenhorn hut, but we keep right, cross the Gamchibach and then climb steeply to the Oberloch junction (altitude 1967 m). Holding right, a final ascent leads to the moraine ridge which stretches from Hohtürli down to Gamchi. Across alpine meadows with views of Niesen, it goes down past Alp Bundläger and continues on an alpine road to the Oberi Bundalp guesthouse. For the descent to Griesalp, follow the signs Düde Mittelberg – Griesalp. Up to Alp Düde Mittelberg, you cross open alpine pastures with beautiful views into the Kiental valley. Afterwards the route alternates over paths and alpine roads and through forest and meadow sections down to Griesalp.
