The toboggan run on the Wiriehorn is suitable for young and old. Families tend to take it easy, while more advanced sledgers like to pick up the pace or even use the fast branch-off run. Once you reach the bottom of the valley, the chairlift is already waiting for you and a new sledging tour can begin. A full run, including the chairlift ride, takes around 45 minutes.

Directions
At the top station of the chairlift on Nüegg, turn right immediately and follow the wide path to Untere Heiteren. The path slopes gently here and you have to pull your sledge. But that doesn't matter, because you'll be wonderfully warmed up for the sledging fun that follows. From Untere Heiteren it's all downhill. Simply follow the sledging markings. The trail continues through the wonderfully snow-covered mountain forest. About halfway down, you have the option of turning right and taking the fast branch-off route for advanced skiers.
Shortly before the end of the toboggan run, you will reach an inhabited area and cross a road that is occasionally used by cars. Before crossing, check that the path is really clear on both sides before continuing.

Gloves and good shoes with tread are a must. We also recommend that you wear a ski helmet.

Directions & Parking facilities
Take the A6 Bern highway in the direction of Zweisimmen, turn left 1 km after the Simmenfluhtunnel in the direction of Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtalstrasse into the valley for 11 km to the Riedli valley station. From here, the Wiriehorn chairlift takes you up to the Nüegg mountain station (note operating times: www.wiriehorn.ch).
You will find paid parking spaces at the Riedli valley station
Take the train to Oey-Diemtigen station (Spiez-Zweisimmen line). Continue by post bus to the "Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn" stop. From here, the Wiriehorn chairlift takes you up to the Nüegg mountain station (note operating times: www.wiriehorn.ch).
