The Hörnliweg offers the hiker liberating wanderings through deep snow-covered forests, over sparkling snow and past typical Bernese Oberland farmhouses. The entrance to the Hörnliweg is found downstream of the village near the Schmittengraben. From there, it goes uphill through the chalets of Schlegeli, past snowfields and through forest sections up to Taubenfels. The path is well marked and leads in a semicircular arc above Adelboden. Besides snowfields, forests, and farmhouses, a fantastic mountain panorama opens up with an unobstructed view over Adelboden towards the valley end. Those who prefer to walk the path in the reverse direction find the entrance at the market square in Vorschwand. This circular route is one of the most popular Sunday afternoon walks in Adelboden.
