- Lainie007December 6, 2025 at 10:58 PMKirschtorte? More Like Kirsch-not!My tour guide said this was the place to get kirschtorte as the bakery is 'famous' for it. That's why I made a beeline for Schuh and lucky I did because I snagged the last slice! I also ordered a slice of chocolate torte. There are a variety of pastries and cake slices to choose from. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating inside and outside. It was the late afternoon so it was quiet and plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the kirschtorte didn't meet my expectations. it was dry, crumbly, and only tasted faintly of kirsch. Maybe it's supposed to taste like this? Not worth the hype. However, the chocolate torte was far better; chocolate-y, rich, but not overly sweet. I enjoyed it far more than the kirschtorte. Staff was polite, though not warm or friendly.More

- Grice-FearingAugust 5, 2025 at 1:39 PMFondue! Yes!This restaurant was literally right across the street from our hotel in Interlaken. We were looking for a hotel that offered cheese fondue, and this one did. It was very good fondue and one person could order it. The fondue came with boiled potatoes, gherkin pickles, and pickled onions. Plus, of course, lots of small pieces of cut up bread. My husband had the wiener schnitzel, and it was also very good. Service a little slow, and our server forgot that we had ordered salad so we ate our salad after our main course. We had wine with our dinner there.More
- NAIFM52July 2, 2025 at 7:53 AMVery bad food, racist staff. Not recommended at all. Run away.I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. As a Muslim, I felt treated with disrespect and discrimination. The staff showed a clear bias towards certain customers, making me and my friends uncomfortable. It's disheartening to see such behavior in a place that should welcome everyone. I hope the management addresses these issues to ensure a more inclusive environment for all.More

- brianmT9870HHNovember 18, 2024 at 8:07 AMAlways reliable.Menu seems little changed since my last visit several years ago. As they say if it's not broken don't fix it and in this case I agree. Excellent worst, rosti and onion sauce was just what I needed.More
- Gargi2014July 12, 2024 at 12:52 AMVery nice restaurantHighly recommended this place. Nice location, good selection of foods and drinks. Also impressed with the waiters and staff, their service quality is much better compared to some other restaurants nearby.More
- Coryv24June 24, 2024 at 6:56 PMI was expecting better.Gorgeous view out on the patio. Service was friendly. My dish, the sliced veal with mushrooms and sauce was pretty good. Perhaps the potatoes were crispy on purpose, but I would have preferred browned, not blacked. My wife said the schnitzel was fine and at most of it. The Caesar salad was a good appetizer. The biggest issue was the cheese fondue. My son is a cheese fanatic. He’s never met a fondue he didn’t like. I understand it’s made with wine and he would normally be fine with that (like I said, he’s a fanatic). He wouldn’t eat more than 2 bites. My wife and I tried it, thinking maybe he was just being picky for a 12 year old, but we both thought it wasn’t palatable either. I mentioned it to the waitress and she just seemed like she didn’t want to address it at all. Whatever. We would have had dessert but we’re kind of put off by her apathy. Not sure I would go back.More
