    Good food, affordable prices
Good food, affordable prices and a helpful Chef who helped us with the translation and even got a trolley for us! Great service, thanks to the Chef! The view was amazing as well and location was perfect.

    Nice view
This is a restaurant above the Migros store. Located near the railway station. You can see the store from the station. Great views. Food reasonable. Good salad options.

    cheap for switzerland
migros is a shopping chain that also has a self serve restaurant attached - you find them all over switzerland and all the larger migros have a restaurant attached. you can drop in for coffee or cake or for lunch (no dinner as the migros closes at 6.30pm) you find all sorts of food - cold and hot and different drinks (no alcohol). some items like salads etc are weighted and you pay according to weight - food served from behind the counter you pay as per menu

    Eat where the locals go!
Bern can be an expensive city especially if you're visiting on a limited budget. Migros, the supermarket chain are a good solution to getting a fairly reasonable priced meal and a drink whilst sightseeing. Usually self service and with a good choice from soup to salad, cakes to hot dishes. Good quality although hot meals can be a little basic. Salads are a good choice but be careful how much you buy as it is generally sold by weight. This is where the locals come to get their lunch. Can get busy 12-14.00 hours. Not open on a sunday.Good value.

    Satisfying and in budget
It was a tiring day after visiting Bern and Thun on a day trip. We stopped by at Migros Restaurant on our way to Interlaken. It was meant to be a quick inexpensive meal for the family. The restaurant is located a short walk away from the Spiez train station. It is also close to the lake Thun. Being at a higher ground, there were breathtaking view of the lake, which is an added bonus for us, since we chose to sit outside with our food

    Surprisingly good
We found Migros after asking a local resident where we could get a warm meal. The elderly lady took us by the arm and showed us to Migros. It was very busy, but the delicious aroma beckoned us towards the food. Such a varied amount of dishes, and hot plates too! It was our first experience of selecting our food and paying for it by weight. It's a great idea, my husband had a full plate of veggies and a hot meat dish, whilst I had a smaller portion. The room was large, very clean, and obviously well patronised by local tradesmen, schoolchildren, and seniors. We were happy with our meal and the price was reasonable....for Switzerland that is!

    Migros Restaurant in Interlaken, Switzerland
The Tripadvisor restaurant list doesn't include the Migros Restaurant located in Interlaken, so I've sneaked it in here. After searching for something to eat in Interlaken, we stumbled upon this gem, and immediately realized it was the most popular place in town. Lunch was excellent with huge selection of salads, soups, and entrees of every description. The price was right. Closed on Sundays, and the Coop grocery store restaurant is a very poor second.

    Lunch at Migros
As other contributors have said, this restaurant has one of these best views in Switzerland. It is also a great place to eat economically if your are holidaying there. For supermarket food it's head and shoulders above anything in the UK. Hot food, salads, fruit and the cakes are always lovely too. Good choice of drinks too. I've never been disappointed with lunch here.

    Best view in town
This is a Migros restaurant just like hundreds of others in Switzerland, but for one thing: the view of the town and the lake from the huge window!! Easy to find, opposite the station, it is very popular and there is fierce competition for the window seats! Go early for your meal or at off-peak times.

    A meal with a view.
If you've been to Switzerland you'll know that the cost of living is astronomical. Janet & I take virtually all our food with us in the campervan because eating out is a no-no when a portion of chips can cost the equivalent of £6 or more! Migros supermarkets are found in most Swiss towns and, when there is a restaurant in one, it's possible to get a pretty decent meal without having to re-mortgage your home to pay for it. We went to the one in Spietz last week and stood there, with our trays, wondering what we could have (we're vegerarian and neither France nor Switzerland 'do' veggies'!). Both the manager and chef came up to us and took great pains to explain- even 'though this was a busy lunchtime- what the dishes consisted of and how much we could 'load' onto our plates from the buffet section for a fixed price..... about 10 Swiss Francs for a big one. When told we were 'veggies' the chef suggested a mushroom and spinach dish with rice accompanied with chunks of skewered fruit and a dish of apple compote. This, together with a bottle of pure apple juice, came to about the equivalent of £9.00 each. The food was good- the mushroom/spinach had a creamy sauce and the rice was- well- rice. The fruit was fresh, five decent chunks- and the compote very tasty. BUT THE VIEW from the restaurant was to die for. You can look out onto Lake Thun, below, and the high alps in all their splendour, above. Furthermore the restaurant, although busy, gives plenty of space between tables allowing one to relax and appreciate looking at what would cost a small fortune in classier establishments. If you are considering camping in the district there are two excellent campsites; one at Krattigen and the other at Aeschi, both of them a short bus-ride above Spietz. If you stay at either you get a free bus pass on the local post-buses which go all over the atea.
