Restaurant Città Vecchia, Unterseen

Absolutely blown away by the amazing food! The owner was more than attentive and was so kind. The best location at the end of the street so it’s nice and quiet.

This is a traditional Italian restaurant. The food was amazing and the service perfect. For those who has gluten free allergic or intolerance here is a good option.

The owners are Portuguese but the chefs are from Napoli, Sicily, and Catania. What more is there to say? If you love amazing flavors, simple, yet perfect, preparations, great wine, and authentic and genuine hospitality, then what are you waiting for? Everything we ate was delicious: Polpi, Caprese, Spaghetti con Cozze/Vongole/Pomodoro, Melanzane Parmigiana, Spaghetti con peperoncino & gamberoni, Vitello con limone e tagliatelle. Get the tiramisu and don't pass on the lemon sorbetto with limoncello. I wish I could transport this charming restaurant back home with me. I'll just have to settle for it being among our best memories of Interlaken.

Good pizzas, lovely staff. The caprese ravioli was great too. Nice red wines by the glass. All set in a pretty square if you manage to sit outside.

Beautiful pasta and service. Lovely restaurant with great service, food and view. The pasta with mussels and clams was delicious! My husband had pasta with chicken with spicy cream sauce which was very good. Highly recommend.

Went here based on TA reviews and weren’t disappointed. We were there early (about 5:40) and it was quiet but by 6:30 was almost full. Food was good, service was good and location was nice. Prices ok for Switzerland.

Even in somewhat adverse circumstances, this restaurant shone today. We were about to finish our main course outside on a pleasantly warm evening when the owner invited us and the other Al fresco diners indoors ‘because a huge thunderstorm is going to break out shortly’. It turned out to be of truly biblical proportions, and good cheers were preserved for everyone - excellent crowd management of families with small kids, romantic couples, and middle-aged geezers. And did I mention that the food was excellent also on the veggie side? We will be back!

Great Italian food, we were not disappointed and would definitely eat here again. We hadn't booked, so no chance of a table outside, but our inside window seat was great Staff were friendly, service was excellent, as was the food. Some of the best carpaccio we've had for a long time. Would definitely make a point of eating here again next time we're in Interlaken

Had a lovely dinner here with gorgeous pizzas all round so would highly recommend getting pizza. What we liked the most was the vibe of the restaurant which was set in a square and had all outside seating. The staff were also lovely!

Excellent food. Great staff. Dessert is delicious. Definitely recommend getting reservation. Best Italian we have had our whole trip.

Really disappointed compared to the reviews. The octopus was still frozen, watery and tasteless. The risottos were tasteless and blend, the pizza was soggy. Honestly not recommended at all.

We popped into this place without a reservation a bit before the dinner rush. They found us a spot and took care of us well. This was probably some of the best Italian food we had while in Switzerland. Word of warning, dress in layers, it gets warm in the eating area with that pizza oven cranking!

We used to frequent this restaurant when it was Da Rafmi. They have moved and Citia Vecchia has taken over. It had no atmosphere at all, and the waiting staff were ok but you could tell they weren’t interested in the customer. The main problem was the food, it was horrible, just didn’t taste right (avoid the vegetable medley). We walked past the restaurant every night and it was always nearly empty, I think that says it all

This was a restaurant close to my hotel with a nice outdoor seating area so I ate here 4 times during my stay. I Iiked the sea bass but didn’t like the veal cutlet. The vegetables had a color that suggested they were canned or very over cooked. My favorite dish was the papardella pasta with mushrooms. The pasta was homemade and good quality. My daughter did not care for the risotto as she thought it was undercooked. Reservations are recommended.

Just across the Aare River away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag in Interlaken you will find Ristorante Citta Vecchia. A nice Italian restaurant with a very full menu including antipasti, insulate, pasta, and an ample selection of secondi piatti. My wife and I shared a Insalta Misto which was very good and we also shared a pizza Citta Vicchoio which include prosciutto, arugula and grand padang cheese. It was "motto buono" (very good)...that combined with a couple of glasses of red wine made for a very nice evening. If you're looking for good food in space that provides both indoor and outdoor dining, you should check our Ristorante Citta Vecchio...

After a busy day sightseeing in the Interlaken area it was nice to get away from the tourist hordes to this lovely restaurant in Unterseen, five minutes walk from central Interlaken. We sat at an outside table on the quiet square and enjoyed a delicious pizza each. They have an excellent wine list and the staff were pleasant and attentive. We had a lovely evening here.
