Lovely fish dish and views to die for
One should really try to book a terrace table at the Hotel Lindenhof’s restaurant for dinner, hotel guests are lucky enough to be able to eat their breakfast also there. The restaurant does get busy in the evenings but Simone and her staff really do their best to accomodate all their guests’ whims. The salmon trout with risotto was a real delight and a surprisingly big portion considering Swiss standards. Serving strawberries with a balsamic vinegar sauce and ice cream is a refreshingly great idea.

    Great stay!
Stayed here for two nights and could easily have stayed longer. The rooms have everything you need and ours looked straight out onto the lake. Beautiful! We didn’t eat here but had a few drinks on the terrace overlooking the lake again. Breakfast was a good mix of cereals, pastries, meats, fruit etc. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

    Great family hotel in Brienz
This hotel is very family-friendly, as an outside playground, pool, sauna, and a nice garden. Ideal when I travel with younger children. There is also a little zoo “Wildpark brienz” only 500 m away. And it’s free! The village of brienz is only a few minutes walk away. Amazing food!!! Rooms are functional, clean but not the most updated ones. But overall, great value for money! Would go back

    Cafeteria food...
We went for dinner only and honestly it needs a serious revamp and a new cook. The location is fabulous, staff and owners are kind and welcoming but what comes out of the kitchen is appalling. It some where between retirement home and office cafeteria food. Salad bar is 1980’s style, kids spaghetti has seen no effort besides heating up bottled tomato sauce and our fish and rice was hardly average. The wine list has like 8 references, more Italian than Swiss and the little Swiss wine featured is pretty awful. The house wine from Schaffhausen is typical old school and will burn a whole through your stomach after nuking your tastebuds. Can do a whole lot better.

Nice view overlooking lake and mountains
The terasse of the restaurant offers a great view over the lake and mountains. The service is good. The food is standard. I recommend the white wine of house (fruity assemblage).

    Swiss holiday
What a wonderful place, really gives one the Swiss experience from the view of the lake and mountains to the decor of the rooms. However, if you have luggage I would suggest a taxi unless you are very physically fit. Although the hotel is only about a 10 minute walk it is all uphill, and I mean uphill! Once you arrive you are greeted warmly and then personally escorted to your room. You are also asked if there is anything that you require. This establishment is very well maintained, nothing shabby, dirty or unattended. It is in fact a garden hotel with gorgeous, relaxing grounds and even an herb garden containing all of the herbs necessary for Riccola cough drops! Staff is very knowledgeable and gives you a guest pass for some attractions. Although I did not eat dinner in the restaurant the menu looked phenomenal, and I can attest to a wonderful breakfast buffet. A great way to start off your day with a good breakfast and a marvelous view of the lake and the mountains. Don't know about the other reviews but upon check out requested help with my luggage and a ride to the train station and had no problem at all. Also upon check out you are given a complementary bag of Swiss Alpine Tea which I thought was a very nice touch. Should I ever have the opportunity to come back to Brienz I would stay here again. Of course I will work out a little bit more first! My warmest regards to the staff, management, and owners for an absolutely lovely stay, Thank you.

    Beautiful restaurant with awesome views!
I was staying in Brienz at a lovely little B&B chalet and from there it was a very nice stroll up to this restaurant overlooking the village and the lake. I had the Smoky Chicken Soup with a cheese ravioli, and the Carpaccio with a nice glass of local red wine. Excellent dinner with attentive and delightful service. The owner stopped by to see how everything was. Two thumbs up to this beautiful hotel and restaurant!

    Excellent service, good food
We came as part of a larger group and were able to enjoy a great dinner as well as a huge breakfast. Service was very friendly and extremely helpful. All portions were quite large and we had the possibility to receive addition food - for those who were not full already. In addition a great view over the lake of Brienz.

    Large rooms with a view
We were amazed with the size of our room--huge, which was well furnished and comfortable. It afforded a view of the Lake of Brienz. We were driven up the hillside from the lakefront railway station in the hotel's small electric vehicle, but without baggage we were able to walk up and down without difficulty. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and the reception staff was friendly and efficient. I would go back to the Lindenhof gladly.

    Amazing view of Lake Brienz
We had a dinner at the outdoor dining area of their restaurant. The food was great and with the picture postcard view of lake Breinz and the surrounding mountains, we had a super romantic and memorable evening.

Hotel is a bit overpriced. Restaurant is very good
Hotel 3*** which I believe is a bit overpriced (250 chf per night). The overall level of service is good (swimming pool is a good value added in rainy days; sight from room is beautiful and the attitude of personnel is fantastic as they are very kind). Theme rooms are ok, but in-room refrigerator is missing (I know it is not a must for a 3star hotel.. but nowadays almost all hotels has it even with lower number of stars...) which is bad for persons with little baby like us; no full size mirror in the room, and shower still has a shower-curtain (which we believe is really a poor system). The lobby is a bit "cold".. only 2 tables in an angle.. a bit sad I would say.. especially if rains outside and you want to read something. Wi-Fi acces doesn't reach the rooms.. hence you have to move to the lobby to access e-mails (which I believe that for 250chf is a bit surprising). All in all the judgement is positivie although considering the above, i would generally expect a slighlty lower price.
