Don’t usually write reviews but doing this in hopes of future staff improvement. 2 stars because food was great but our waiter was extremely rude for no reason. Every time I ordered something(or my mom), the waiter made it difficult to simply place that order and would give a slight attitude or sour facial expression 😐 I asked for a water and the waiter rolled his eyes. Ended up not getting a water which was fine because I ended up brining water due to traveling around. Not speaking for the whole staff but it just seems like if he doesn’t like you(for no reason), expect to be treated like garbage 😢. If he feels you’re worthy, he will be nice 😊 I really liked the food though and would come back again regardless because I love food 🤰🏻

Delicious homemade dessert and amazingly attentive and accommodating staff and service. Simon was a great server. And of course the view is amazing.

2 stars only for the food, which was ok. But the staff! Completely horrible experience and it was probably the worst one we ever had. We came to the restaurant and noone even said hello. For the menu we waited more than 10 minutes, although the waiter was around. Then we ordered and waited for 35 minutes for food. (That I would accept as I know terrace was busy). But what I would not accept is the staff's behaviour. We wanted to order also a dessert- but again, we waited for more than 10 minutes with empty glasses, noone even asked if we want something more to drink. We waited and waited and waited.. 3 people from staff talking and laughing on the bar and noone even cared to come and ask if we have chosen some dessert or not. I was really upset, interupted the talking ongoing between the staff and asked for a bill. Waiter came, gave us the bill without a word- I said we will pay with card. She disappeared without a word - I thought she needed to get the card machine. But in the meantime she brought dirty glasses from some table and took another drinks to some table. So we waited again, lovely :) then she came back, didnt even say the amount we need to pay, took the payment and left. Without any word- goodbye, thank you, have a nice day, nothing. This is a very very sad stor and I was really disappointed and upset and this made me sure that I will never ever come back again. Althought the location and food is good, the service is a tragedy. If I was an owner- I would never want people like this to work at the restaurant I own. With my best regards. Anna

We stopped to get dinner with the family and right away felt lime we were not wanted. The lady immediately said the tables were already resered and we should try somewhere else. As we wer leaving saw a few tables with no reservation card and ask about them. She rudely said ok to the one table but we could tell she was not having a good day. The entire time there we felt like we were in conveniecing her. When we finally ask for the check she rudely said that we needed to wait. I have been lucky to travel and eat at many restaurants but this was the worst. How a restaurant with an amazing location can hire people like this is beyond me.

Stopped for lunch. Looking for some fish. We found Fish and chips. A nice white fish with a light herbed batter. Cooked just right for us. Pomme frites were also very good. The Vegetable soup was good. We also had the öpfelchüechli for dessert. Fried apples in vanilla and rum sauce. Yummy. I will come back again

This is a nice location with its own parking just as you come into the town. Unfortunately the food choice is a little mundane but it’s all nicely cooked. Shame they don’t have a no smoking policy on the outside terrace.

We made a stop in Brienz for a lunch, and this restaurant attracted us by its location on the very edge of the lake. The view was fantastic! This place also provides free parking, which is a rare chance in Switzerland. It is a family-run place, which also a part of a hotel. The staff is friendly and helping, payment per cash and card is possible, although at first, we had some confusion about how the meal should be paid for. Looks like with some cards they have to split the sum into half, and others - do not. They mostly serve local beef, but also have a big choice of desserts, such as cakes and pies. I was happy with the size and taste of my "homemade hamburger". They introduced the dessert menu, but we just had no any space for it, so we bought a pack of cookies, advertised there.
