Niederhorn Gondola Cable Car

Enjoy a panoramic ride on the Niederhornbahn. The journey takes you from Beatenbucht up to the Niederhorn in around 30 minutes. Enjoy the imposing panorama of the spectacular peaks of the Bernese Alps throughout your trip. An excursion to the Niederhorn is worthwhile whatever the time of year.

The summit of the Niederhorn is just under 2000 m above sea level and towers above Beatenberg. Whatever the time of year, you will have a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Thun, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and many other imposing mountain peaks. On a clear day, you’ll enjoy a view over the Aare valley and as far as the Jura. A ten-minute journey on the funicular railway takes you from Beatenbucht to Beatenberg, where you can take the cable car to the summit. The journey to the upper station takes ten minutes and is a memorable experience in itself. You're sure to be amazed by the Bernese Oberland’s unique landscape of mountains and lakes.
 
The funicular railway to Beatenberg operates all year round, the cable car to the Niederhorn seasonally. The summer season lasts from mid-April to mid-November, during which time the railway runs daily. If the colours of autumn linger long enough, you can enjoy the popular autumn magic special trips on certain dates between November and December. The winter season commences just before Christmas.
