Swiss Ski School Interlaken

We used the Swiss Ski & Snow Boarding School in Mannlichen on a recent Ski trip to Grindelwald recently - we were a family group of 8 ranging in ski ability and aged between 10 yrs to 45 yrs - we availed of ski school for 4 of the children in our group & private ski lessons for older teen and adults. We availed of the schools services for 8 days ! We found the school to be super professional and delivered excellent classes both on ski school & privately. This is our 3rd ski trip and our best experience to date with a ski school which we use every time. I was an extremely nervous student (as I had an accident on my last ski trip ennobling an out of control snow boarder, which completely destroyed my confidence) and I highly recommend instructor Pierre-Alain for anyone in same situation or a beginner.. excellent instructor who is so kind, patient and safety & fun was a top priority for him. Thank you Pierre Alain for your time, expertise and patience. Fabian was our other private ski instructor who I spent time with too aswell as other family members of stronger ability and they all raved about him. Lovely personality & excellent instructor. For anyone planning a trip with a mixed ability group we discovered that Kleine Scheidegg is a better area to suit all. Mannlichenn is a more difficult and steep area. Our family highly recommend the Swiss Ski & Snowboard School.

My boyfriend and I booked a 3 hour session with coach Fabi. It was our first time and Fabi made it the best experience! She was very patient, fun and reassuring, we picked up the basics of snowboarding pretty quickly with her teaching. Definitely recommend it for new-goers or someone who is looking to have a great time.

My two boys had a lot of fun learning to ski. They had three days of lesson with Coach Luca, who was such an amazing coach! Coach Luca was very kind and patient. He knows exactly how to engage with little kids. Both of my kids are a lot more confident in skiing after these lessons.

I had a wonderful lesson with Isi who is very friendly with excellent technique and was very patient to teach me step by step. Staffs in the shop are all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to others.

We booked two lessons with Anze Susa and three ski lessons for our kids with Caser. They were both great instructors and helped us make the most of our time at the snow.

Me and my husband had a great snowboard training with coach Melanie on April 2018. Melanie is very patient and helpful to us. We had train for 2 hours only 2 hours and finally we can ski a little by ourselves. the feelings was fantastic!

My sister and I had an amazing carving lesson with Isi. Good technic and friendly teacher ! Even though the weather wasn’t very good, we enjoyed the moment.

I have just finished five mornings of snowboard lessons at Kleine Scheidegg and I highly recommend the school. The nearby runs are great and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. And I can't say enough good things about my instructor Jüre. I was really nervous to start back on the snow, but Jüre was always so friendly and encouraging. He was also great at explaining and demonstrating new skills, so I improved so much over the week. I also got so much more confident thanks to his coaching and every lesson was so much fun!! Thanks so much Jüre, I had the best week!!

It's the second time that my son had a full week of lessons with Hombi and his team. He really enjoyed! Next year we will be back at Grindelwald and for sure We will book lessons with the Kleine Schiedegg team. Thank you guys!

My daughter had snowboarding lessons with Ruth when we went in December then again when we went back in March! The hire shop is very accommodating but Ruth is just amazing. The confidence she built up in my 10 year old daughter was amazing. Hellishly expensive but well worth it.

My wife and daughter took lessons with the Kleine Scheidegg ski school during our recent skiing week in Wengen. It was our second choice of ski school, as our first choice was fully booked. We were unfamiliar with the Jungfrau region, having never skied there before, and we were concerned that if the train from Wengen was delayed in the morning or too full to board, we might be late for our lessons. We needn't have worried. First, Hombi and Corinne couldn't have been more helpful and flexible in planning the lessons, and reassuring us regarding the train from Wengen. (They were right - the trains were always punctual and, though quite full, never over-full.) Second, we actually found it advantageous to start lessons in Kleine Scheidegg rather than in Wengen. This is because when a lesson starts in Wengen, the first half-hour or more is spent just getting to your starting point and putting on your skis. A lesson starting in Kleine Scheidegg really does start when it says. Also, the Kleine Scheidegg runs are higher than the Maennlichen runs (which equates to better snow), offer more stunning scenery, a better choice of pistes, and are less busy. In other words, a perfect ski school location even, or especially, for people staying in Wengen. And then there's the ski school itself. Small, friendly, and determined to offer a really personalised service. My wife's instructor Tom, and my daughter's instructor Karin, both spoke excellent English and were delightful and gifted teachers. Both deserve great credit for the tremendous improvement that both their students made during the course of a week! Our thanks to them and to Hombi and Corinne for making this a skiing holiday to cherish.

Our boys had three morning lessons in a group with Pascale at the Kleine Scheidegg Ski school. They really enjoyed them and were asking to do more lessons. Pascale improved their skiing ability and made the lesson fun with new challenges and pistes to explore. The staff in the centre were very smiley, friendly and hospitable and Hombi who I emailed with in advance was also very helpful and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this ski school.

Hombi and his team provided 2 days of race training for us before the British Schoolboys' race event in January 2016. The training was well organised, with reserved and fenced section of pistes for our practice courses, that were set up by additional staff, leaving Michael able to focus on the coaching. The instructional team were all very experienced and highly qualified and created a bespoke programme for our mixed ability team of racers. Michael got to know the team and provided useful feedback for all throughout the training. Video analysis of the the racing on both the slalom and GS courses was used. Hombi also put us in touch with the rental shop, Wyss Sport, who ordered in new sets of slalom skis for our team to use. Communication beforehand was excellent. Highly recommend.

At the beginning of our winter holiday the snow cover could have been better, so our teenager opted for a few hours' private ski lessons to challenge him a little. The instructor Michael was friendly and patient with someone who had not been out on the slopes for a few months but wanted to learn a few tricks. All accomplished and we were very pleased with the outcome.
