The snowshoe tour to the Hohmad starts from the mountain station of the Wiriehornbahnen at Nüegg, which you can easily reach by chairlift. From here the circular trail first follows a short section of the sledding trail, then the ascent to the Hohmad begins. Once at the top, it is worth taking an extended break, if only for the panoramic view, before returning to the starting point.

Directions
From the Wiriehorn mountain station (Nüegg) follow the signposts in the direction of the valley station of the Hohmad ski lift (sledding trail). After a few hundred meters, at the start of the bike downhill trails, the snowshoe trail branches off to the right. From here you always follow the signposts. You cross the sledding trail again before the ascent to the Hohmad begins. At the top, the trail leads down on the other side of the lift again to the valley station of the Hohmad lift and back to the Wiriehorn mountain station (Nüegg).
The path is marked with pink direction indicators and snowshoe symbols. You are on the edge of wildlife quiet zones and wildlife protection areas. Please follow the signs and do not leave the recommended route.
