    Good place
PROS • Pleasant appearing wood building • Nice appearance • Basic cafeteria food for hungry hikers • Tables and wooden lounge chairs • Clean restroom facilities CONS Not inexpensive “I VISITED THIS PLACE”…. … to rest and “use the facilities”- before and after the hike. We also used the wooden lounge recliners on the grounds of the building- they were fantastic!! See my photos of my backpack and my hiking poles resting on those recliners (posted under Niederhorn Berg). TIPS A fine place to visit

Nice restaurant with scenic views over the mountains
Forget about the food, the views were spectacular. We got our food at the self-serve cafeteria-style section of the restaurant and while a little expensive it wasn't out of line for being on a Swiss mountaintop. We had the chicken, lasagna with a salad, and bratwurst with fries, all of which were good. If weather permits, get a table on the outside terrace for the best view. Eating at Berghaus Niederhorn was well worth the money and time. Recommended.

    Crazy prices and bad coffee
2 weak coffees, 1 glass of warm milk from the machine, 1 piece of plum cake and 2 croissants for CHF 29.60 (self service)! A bit of a rip-off, even if the goods have to be transported to 2000 meters above sea level. We‘ll bring a picknick next time.

    Nice view
I don’t like to eat at these typical tourist attractions but it was almost empty so we decided to take a plate of fries, coffee and a carrot cake. The fries where ok, coffee to cold for my taste and the carrot cake was a little bit to dry. It’s by the way self service. The prices are way to high, the carrot cake was 7,50 and the coffee was 5,50. Ok, it’s switzerland but at least it’s supposed to be good for that price but everything was mediocre. It’s a 3- but it’s tending more to 2+ but the view made up for the so-so food.

    Nice experience on mountain
Food was presented nicely. The views are marvellous. We had pasta with meat 🥩 on a mushroom 🍄 sauce. The service could be improved, was not so attentive. Recommended 👍🏼

You’re here mainly for the view
The view (if you manage to score a table outside) is absolutely breathtaking, however can get quite crowded with people walking alongside the restaurant. Prices are reasonable, I recommend the rösti, really nice. Toilet facilities right next to the restaurant.

A Great Breakfast with un-paralleled views.
We had a wonderful breakfast here . The food was great and the service was great too. The views of the surrounding mountains and the lakes below were breath taking.

Bad service and way over priced!
We hiked up to the top and went to the restaurant. The staff did not really welcome us and the variety of food was very poor. The food tasted very average, but was really expensive compared with other restaurants in the mountains. The coffee was a disaster and was not even close to real coffee. The journey back in the cable car was also overpriced. Paid almost the same amount for going down as for a return ticket.
