Restaurant Belle Epoque, c/o Hotel Eden, Spiez

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful treat this was. We were with another couple. The 2 men shared a steak, which was prepared at the table. (Can't remember what the wives ordered - just that it was good). Service was a tad slow. Be prepared to stay there foe a while. But if you enjoy the experience of dining, and near Spiez, you MUST go. One last note: the view was spectacular!

I ate several meals here as part of my week-long stay at the hotel. The service is top-notch, probably the best you'll find in the region, and the food is very good. Breakfast was filling and the dinners were excellent... you can have your meals fast or slow, any way you want them... "excellent overall everything."

Very nice terrace with great views of the Thunersee and the mountains of the Bernese Oberland. Exceptional service. Good food (we both had salads since we weren’t really hungry). Both salads were excellent. Nice attention to detail....gluten free bread for my partner and great little bites between courses. Amazing wine list.

We enjoyed a "tasting menu" here in which the chef's combination of pumpkin and coconut oil deserves especial praise.

The waiter seems not to see us nor hear us when we arrived and hust said "hello". We were 7 and we had to move tables ourselves. No smile and a very bad service quality. Salade was good, spinach quiche as well but we won't come back for sure.

We stopped here a few days ago for a cup of coffee. The coffee was the best we found in Switzerland but not as good as home (Australia)...but we didn't go the Switzerland for coffee. The waitress, suggested if we wanted something special that the cakes were excellent and the cherry cake was the most popular. We shared one (it was close to dinner time elsewhere) and it was indeed sensational, and I'd highly recommend trying it. The atmosphere at Belle Epoque was warm and interesting.

The food was great, all the dishes beautifully arranged on the plate. Especially the desert was a work of art. Local and boilogical ingredients. Absolutely wonderful.

The Belle Epoque at Hotel Eden is a great place for wonderful food served in a very refined setting by an attentive staff. Making the experience even better is the quality of the food. While at the Eden we dined at Belle Epoque twice. The vegetarian dishes we had were VERY flavorful. We also enjoyed the Chateaubriand. It was served as two courses which was very unique. This restaurant was our dinning highlight of Spiez!
