Restaurant Rebleuten, Oberhofen

What a little gem this restaurant is. We were taken there by a friend and each time the food has been excellent. It’s a family run restaurant and the hosts are so welcoming and speak very good English. They have introduced music nights in a cosy warm atmosphere. It’s well worth a visit if you are around Lake Thun.

Loved the food and the atmosphere here. Some delicious authentic Swiss Cuisine, along with some American-flavored offerings as well... the Johhny Cash Burger was outstanding, and my wife loved her schnitzel. Our charming host Pat shared her love of classic country music with us, we discussed our mutual admiration for Johnny Cash and others at length, and she gave us a guided tour of the International Country Music Hall of Fame, which she operates upstairs at their location. Both she and her mom were lovely, the food was delicious, and it has a comfortable, laid back atmosphere where you can sit outside on their patio and enjoy their delicious food and a cold beer. Great Restaurant with even better staff! My girlfriend and I visited Oberhofen for a week and enjoyed our multiple visits to Rebleuten, especially on our final night of vacation. The chef prepared us a special meal, and even brought out home made apple pie and locally crafted ice cream! This place was amazing and we will ensure to make it a stop anytime we visit the area in the future. Our waitress, introduced us to delicious Swiss wines to pair with our meal and even a local liquor (kinda like a schnapps) to cap off our final meal and day of the trip.

Whilst trying to read the menu out the front of the restaurant (all german), the hostess came outside to ask where we were from. We said Australia and she offered the menu to us in English. Drinks arrived immediately after ordering, food was lovely and quick, served with a great smile. The food was amazing. So much flavour - my husband had the bratwurst with butter noodles, I had the Chef Special pasta. The chef came out of the kitchen and with a huge smile asked if our meals were ok. Dessert was a huge serving of caramel ice cream with heaps of toppings, beautifully presented - luckily we already decided to share. This restaurant had such beautiful authentic charm, not "touristy" at all, yet so accommodating of our English. We will be having breakfast here in the morning :-)

Family atmosphere, very welcoming. Great food, great staff, and great chef. He made us some special meals along with some amazing desserts. Coffee was amazing. Returning soon..a must stop with local fresh food! It was like visiting with family.

Incredible food & experience. AirBnb above the restaurant, live music and a wonderful staff. Family owned and operated. Cozy, clean and in a great location off the main road.

We were looking for a place to have traditional Swiss dinner and we were very lucky to find this restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious and the service by the owners was great! We definitely recommend it if you are in the area and looking for good Swiss food!

We spent nine days in Switzerland and had our best meal of the entire trip at the family owned Rebleuten Restaurant in Oberhofen. The friendly service makes you feel welcome and you will instantly come to appreciate the personal touch. Everyone speaks perfect English so you get any questions answered in great detail. The hardest part may be to choose between the delicious dishes which vary between traditional all the way to some main staple dishes. The menu is very clear regarding any food sensitivities/allergies. During our meal the chef himself came out making sure everything was alright. He enjoys coming out of the kitchen, interact with people and hearing feedback and talking about his dishes. This was such a lovely touch as you hardly ever get this kind of personal service anymore. His passion for food shows. We also overheard him speaking to other patrons talking about his inspiration for one of the dishes. The staff and the food truly make this place a gem.

This is the best restaurant I have eaten at in Switzerland. If in the area must say hi to Sue and have a great meal !

We just had dinner at this restaurant. We started with salad, a nice mix of vegetables fresh from their garden! The Pasta Sindy was delicious, light tomato based sauce perfectly seasoned with chicken, onions and fresh mushrooms. The service was exceptional, very friendly staff, and the chef came out to personally great us! We definitely plan to go back again before we leave!

My wife and I had a great dinner experience at the Rebleuten restaurant. The service was outstanding given by the sister and brother (Sue and Thomas were great!), the food well prepared and very tasty! Great location too! We highly recommend it. Carlos & Stephanie

We stopped at about 8 p.m. and had a lovely meal on the outdoor patio. The owners visited with us throughout our stay and helped us with the menu (they are fluent in English). I had the Rosti which was a fabulous potato dish. We struggled with what to get our 3 little kids and they recommended and made a great pasta dish. They even made sure our oldest got his tummy full by bringing a little more. They talked a lot with our kids about their first visit to Europe, which was really nice of them. Our 10 year old commented on how that never happens at home. After dinner, we walked across the street to see the castle which was stunning. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The owners are wonderful and the food was fantastic! Good prices and quaint location built in 1866. The chef came by to ensure we enjoyed our meal; planning to go back for breakfast.

Nice tables outside on a quiet square without traffic or many pedestrians. Not terribly scenic compared to the stunning views that you find on the lake (which would make this restraint higher rated)! We were warmly greeted in German and fumbled to communicate but were quickly accommodated in a nice corner. Our server brought out the chef from the kitchen who spoke very good English and bailed us out! Our host recommended this restaurant, specifically the lake fish which was not on the menu. Our chef smiled and said no problem. Lake perch was perfect, hot, nicely salted and lightly pan fried. Also the schnitzel was similarly spot on. Very nice Swiss white wine was also very expensive, might go for the house wine next time. Seems like a pleasant and reliable little spot.😉👍😀

Right in the opposite lane of the Oberhofen Castle . A romantic restaurant in the heart of the city with a heart of gold. Serving fantastic food while everyone one is closed for afternoon. They have a family accommodation to offer as well. And at an affordable price. Must visit Loved it
