Ristorante e Pizzeria Sapori, Interlaken

The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. We had pizza and meat. It was good, but the price-quality ratio is lacking. The dessert had thin apple slices with a slight onion flavor. Presumably, the kitchen used a knife to cut the apple first. When I mentioned it, the waiter started an argument with me, saying that was absolutely unacceptable. My wife had tasted it too. I've worked in the hospitality industry myself; you don't get into that kind of argument with a customer. We won't be seeing Sapori again.

The food was so exceptional, that we ate there 3 out of the 5 nights we were there! Each night offered new delights that were sumptuous! Clean, healthful delicious options and great service kept us coming back!!!

We had very high hopes for Sapori as we were recommended by a friend. But it was terrible. First, when our waiter came over, he introduced himself by saying he was tired. So our red flags went up but thought we would give him the benefit of the doubt, as everyone has days at work when they are tired. We ordered tap water with our initial wine order. Our wine came but no water. Our appetizer showed up but again had no water, so we ordered again. It didn’t come. Then our entrees came out and we still didn’t have water, so we ordered again and then bottled still water arrived. Then they charged us for the bottled still water after it arriving 30+ minutes after ordering. We did ask them to take off the bottled water and voicing our displeasure with the entire meal, and they did take off the bottled water and offered us a limoncello shot (which was very cringey). We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was horrible. 17 CHF for 2 small slices. I can guarantee you can make better at home. Don’t get it. I was out of wine for 65% of my meal, without being asked for more. Which I thought was strange as this is a huge money maker. I had to flag down the waiter to get more wine. I will say the steak was cooked to perfection. However, the veggies that accompanied the steak were very acidic. The sea bass was pretty good. We finished the meal and for about 15 minutes (we timed it because we were having a horrible time), we had empty dishes on our table, empty wine glasses, empty water glasses, and empty water bottle. The host then cleared our food plates with our drink glasses still empty on table. Did not ask if we wanted anything else. Our empty drink glasses remained for another 5 min and I had to go find the waiter to get our check (with half the restaurant empty at 930pm at this point). I understand that in Europe, we have to ask for the check. But the waiter wasn’t even coming by our table to see if we needed anything. Go somewhere else if you can. Not worth it. Or maybe we just caught the restaurant on a bad night. But restaurants of this caliber should not have bad nights.

Delicious food and exceptional waiter - Evangelismos you made our evening! Had the chicken Caesar salad and truffle pasta - which were very tasty!

Well, we just returned from this outstanding restaurant in the heart of Interlaken. I couldn’t wait to write this review. Everything about this restaurant was top-notch: the greeting by the maître d’ upon arrival, the outstanding service by Antonio, and the exquisite meals that my wife and I enjoyed. The wine was fantastic, and the desserts were unspeakably delicious. We dined alfresco on the beautiful terrace with a simply unparalleled view of the surrounding Alps. This restaurant is located within the Victoria – Jungfrau Grand Hotel and Spa, a magicificent 5 star hotel. We can’t wait to return!

I start to say that I am Italian and that I have worked all my life in 5 star hôtel and restaurant tonight i just had a vitello tonnato the quality of the meat was just amazing you could eat it using a tea spoon the service is always very friendly what to say bravo I will come back for sure
